Do you really want to construct your dream home?
Many times we look at beautiful homes and feel that I wish, I had a home like this?
Sure, new beautiful home is everyone desire, but, are you scared of construction?
Here are the few things you need to ask yourself before you can start thinking into this direction:
A) Why do you want to construct home? What are you looking at bare minimum and what compromises you can make?
B) How do you deal with unknown situations? Do you really get tensed?
C) Are you prepared for lengthy process (design to build) some where from 1.5 years to 3-4 years process?
D) Did you account for extra budget? Many experts feel that 5-10% extra is good but there is no such thing while you are feeding your emotions into dream home.
E) Are you ready to deal with different kind of people and industry?
Let me introduce myself. I am Abhishek Gupta (Hausband, Dad, technologist, and entrepreneur) and living in Bay area since 2011. I always wanted to think that why should I buy builder home where in I can get the home the way I want and cheaper than builder. One fine day I bought a home in WarmSprings Fremont and started fulfiling my dream of constructing my dream home.
I went through this construction process and made lot of right and wrong decisions. But, overall, what I learned was experience of getting home constructed.
My Goal is to help other indviduals to fulfil their desires and help them to avoid mistakes I did or benefit them what I had from my gene to negotiate with vendors/suppliers.
